Black August may have begun as an annual commemoration to remember Black political prisoners and Black freedom struggles in America, but we must cee beyond its humble beginnings and into its true purpose. Black August is an exercise in Self-Determination among Black people. We define for ourselves how we will commemorate the true martyrs of our struggles for Freedom, Justice and Equality in America. We determine who those Black freedom strugglers are, whether in the exterior or interior cipher. Black August must be seen for exactly what it is, a celebration of our black history on our terms. Do not get caught up in the propaganda of the evil ones that Black August is some prison sh!} and not real Black history. Easily led in the wrong direction, but hard to lead in the right direction. Those brothers and sisters who stood for our rights in America in both the civil rights and revolutionary movements in America, did so not because they were forced to, but because they love us as
a people and could not stand by and silently watch us be subjugated, tortured, lynched, malnourished, etc.. They said, "This is not right." and became the voice for the voiceless and scared ones. Allah didn't raise no cowards. How many have heard this? Allah The Father stood and became the voice for those in the streets whose voice was not being heard. Those youth who had no voice to say to the powers that be, stop, they are my people and you will no longer mistreat them, you will no longer mis-educated them, you will no longer murder them without consequence, they are my people and I stand and fight for them. If Allah The Father did this, why are we not also doing this? Do you think you are better than Allah The Father? Do you think you have risen so far above the people with your knowledge of self that their existence means nothing to you now? Their struggles mean nothing to you. Black August teaches us that we are the vanguard, the vicegerents of the people. Learn the history of those who sacrificed, died and was even born in the month of August, and then ask yourself do I possess these qualities of leadership, sacrifice, and love for my black people in particular and all people in general. There you will find the true purpose for Black August. Peace!

Black August: Still We Rise Under Siege

The system in this country has been based on white supremacy in perpetuity since the Constitution was written. Throughout American history, laws have been written and enforced specifically to retain racial discrimination, segregation, and white dominance. After the so-called end of the physical bondage of the Original people, the Jim Crow era was established. This period, from the late 1870s through the mid-1960s, was centered around maintaining white power and systematically suppressing the rights of Black people.
The current climate represents a clandestine attempt to revive a revised form of Jim Crow. It is a fact that Black people are the Original people, and those in power know that their reign has spiritually and morally expired. Yet they are doing all they can to extend it through policy, propaganda, and pressure. This manifestation of truth is not intended to carry a political tone, yet we must acknowledge that the bloodsuckers of the poor also known as politicians are the ones who write, implement, and interpret laws that impact us directly and indirectly. This political structure includes three branches of government:
Executive Branch – The President, who enforces the laws and leads the country.
Legislative Branch – The U.S. House of Representatives and Senate (Congress), who create and pass laws.
Judicial Branch – The Supreme Court, which interprets laws and resolves legal conflicts.
These branches were intended to remain separate, with checks and balances in place to prevent one from dominating the others. However, this is not the reality we see today. The 47th President has been granted unprecedented, unchecked authority, and he is moving according to Yacub's principles, bringing the renewed Jim Crow vision into existence. Whatever he demands of the other two branches, they comply out of fear of losing their power or livelihood.
There is a plethora of vital programs that benefit Original families now being defunded, eliminated, or restricted. These include two-year limits on Section 8, cuts to SNAP, Medicaid, Medicare, Job Corps, and the TANF program, to name a few. The constant and accelerated attacks on the Original people are more dangerous and visible than ever before.
In this time of Black August, a month of resistance, reflection, and remembrance, we must be vigilant, strategic, and meticulous in our response to these diabolical policies. They are designed to dismantle the Black family and erase our legacy. But we are a resilient people. We are the makers, the builders, the first and the last. And no matter the weapon formed against us, still, we rise.
Lord Unikue Allah
ADDING ON TO...Black August: Still We Rise Under Siege
Peace Lord Unikue! Your powerful build reflects not only the historical truth of this country's foundation, but also the current climate of cultural, mental, and political warfare that Original people are facing today. Your words echo the necessity of supreme vigilance, and we all should add on to your manifestation with full understanding and acknowledgment of the divine warning embedded in your build.
We must remember the Constitution was never designed with us in mind as it was constructed to preserve white land-owning male dominance. From the Three-Fifths Compromise to the Fugitive Slave Acts, to Jim Crow, COINTELPRO, mass incarceration, Project 2025, and now Project Esther we’ve seen the same oppressive pattern evolve, not disappear. Each wave has been more refined, more calculated, and more difficult to detect by the masses, especially when it's masked behind patriotic language, so-called reforms. We all know what it is! It's no longer dog whistling, it's the dog biting! And that dog is constantly
hungry and regurgitating the same ideology of hate!
The warning...We can sit back and wait for the next hit dance song to distract us from what is really going on, because the truth is, while many are dancing to the boots on the ground, Yacub's minions have their boots on our necks! Like you said, we are resilient people and still we rise. But now is not the time to rise alone. It is time to rise together, armed with Knowledge of Self, discipline, strategy, and a fierce commitment to freedom that is earned, protected, and built by us.
Black August: The Fire We Carry"

In August’s heat, our stories rise,
Of warriors bold, with burning eyes.
From Nat to George, their names ignite,
The endless flame of freedom’s fight.
They fought through chains, they spoke
through bars,
Their courage lights our guiding stars.
Not just a month, but sacred ground,
Where our ancestor's footsteps still resound.
So teach the babies, uplift the name,
Of those who sparked the freedom flame.
Black August lives in how we grow...
With truth, with fire, and the seeds we sow.
