Peace! We must do what’s best for us, not simply follow others because what they’re doing looks good. What appears successful for someone else may not be what is right or necessary for us. Consciousness means knowing the difference between what shines and what truly builds.
Too often, we get caught up in what looks good and not in what is good. We chase after the image of progress without checking the ingredients of what we’re consuming. Consciousness demands that we pause, reflect, and take stock of what is truly needed for our growth as individuals and as a Nation. We must learn to ask: Is this move righteous? Is it beneficial for the collective, or is it just feeding the illusion of advancement?
When we move without knowledge, we become victims of appearance. We see success in others and think it can be duplicated without understanding the process or purpose behind it. B.u.t. when you are conscious, you realize that not every path is your path. What feeds one may poison another. That’s why the foundation is so vital.
Before we can rise, we must secure that foundation built on wisdom, order, and unity. That starts with a solid plan, clear intention, and dependable resources. And the greatest resource of all is righteous, conscious, dedicated people. We often say, “Anyone can come in the name of,” b.u.t. consciousness makes you look beyond the name to see the nature. Too many times, we still let them in even when the energy they bring disrupts our peace. We get caught up in personalities, cliques, and charm, ignoring the disturbance their presence causes. And then what happens? We fall victim again, consciously. We knew better b.u.t. didn’t move better. That’s the most dangerous kind of sleepwalking, being aware of the fire but still walking into the flames.
True consciousness means being aware of the unseen, recognizing patterns, people, and behaviors that don’t serve our growth. It means protecting our space, our peace, and our mission from anything that threatens it. We can’t afford to keep repeating cycles of destruction just because we didn’t want to seem “judgmental.” Judgment rooted in truth is discernment, and discernment is a tool of the wise.
If we truly want progress, we have to stop mistaking noise for movement and movement for growth. We must move with purpose, not popularity. We must choose righteousness over recognition. Consciousness is the compass that keeps us from drifting. It reminds us that the strongest Nation is not the one that looks good, it’s the one that thinks good, moves good, and builds good.
So, let us stay awake, aware, and aligned. Because when we move with consciousness, we don’t just follow the light, we become it! Peace!

Peace! He woke, she woke, they woke....stay woke. From the Oval Office to the prison plantations and everywhere in between, many claim to be woke but are still living in a dream.
To be woke is to be conscious, and to be conscious we must rise from our slumber. In order to do that, we first have to recognize that we are asleep.
Many who claim to be woke are traveling through life with a consciousness that has been given to them by someone else. The powers that be continue daily to teach through their institutions and media, replete with subliminal messages that support their agenda.
As you read their writings, watch their programs, listen to their lyrics, or simply live within their systems, your subconscious mind gathers and stores away information (knowledge) that will likely influence your thoughts and behaviors later in life.
The English language, the status quo, and the impoverished, status-seeking, consumer-driven mindset all stem from socialization, essentially, a nearly imperceptible form of brainwashing. We end up thinking in ways that support the very system that oppresses us. We follow suit to fit snugly into the environment, effectively rendered unable to think independently.
The less you recognize it, the more it is confirmed. This is why culture is important, culture is group consciousness. It keeps you rooted and prevents you from straying away from civilization.
Ultimately, our perspective toward any objective should reflect an African-centered mindset. Then, and only then, will we truly be and remain woke. Peace.

Peace! This is what Malcolm X was teaching us when he said we must never rely on the enemy to define things for us or define us. This aligns with the second principle of Kwanzaa, Kujichagulia, which means self-determination. Black, woke, God...all of these must be defined by us, for us, as ourselves. That is the only way to ensure that what we teach is truly from us and for our upliftment. Too many of us fall victim to definitions given by the enemy, and those definitions only turn us against our own interests. They turn us into pawns of the enemy, used to promote their version of social equality, one that never includes true liberation for the Original people.
How many of us call ourselves citizens of America, yet never declare ourselves citizens of the Nation of Gods and Earths? How many reject “Black,” but readily accept “African American,” without understanding the historical confusion behind it?
These are the wrong directions...traps the devil has too many of us caught up in. We all need to be woke...woke to the Knowledge of Self, and woke to the commitment of living that knowledge out daily in a right and exact manner. Woke to who our true enemy is. Woke to What We Teach and What We Will Achieve.

"Move With Mind"
We move too fast, chasing what glows, Following footprints we don’t even know.
What looks like gold may just be dust, So pause, reflect, rebuild your trust.
Conscious minds don’t follow the crowd, They stand firm, righteous, humble, and proud.
They see beyond the glitter and show, They plant where truth and purpose grow.
Don’t move ‘cause it’s trending, move ‘cause it’s true, What’s best for them may not be best for you.
Take stock, take time, and take your stand, Build your house upon solid land.
PEACE!
